Removing Links from Stainless Steel Apple Watch Bands

The watch band in this picture is just for reference

The links in our stainless steel apple watch band collection are adjustable to fit wrists of different sizes by removing the links either side of the buckle.

Follow this instruction guide to help you through the steps.

Step 1

Simply look for the arrow marking on the inside of the band. Place the side with the printed arrows facing up. Line up the arrow in the same direction as the pin of the watch band link adjustment tool i.e. pointing in the same movement direction. Once aligned, turn the pin on the tool clockwise until it pushes the watch band link pin out on the other side.

If there is no arrow (eg. Infinity 88, Diamante, Havana, Diamond Link), look for an indented small hole on the side of the band. The other side would sit flush.

Step 2

Once the watch band pin is loosened, you can remove it and the links it was holding together. Do this to as many of the links as you require, in order for it to fit your wrist size.
Be sure to even out the removal of links on either side of the buckle. For instance, if you need to remove 3 links in total, then remove 2 links from one side of the buckle and the the 3rd link from the other side of the buckle.

Step 3

Reinstall the pin into the links of the apple watch band in the opposite direction of the arrows, with the wider head of the pin protruding.

Step 4

Put the links in the pin link remover and use the pin remover to help push the wider end of the pin into place. It should fit flush with the watch band.
* Alternatively, if you're not comfortable adjusting the band yourself, you can also take it to a local watch store (where you'd go to replace watch batteries) or a jeweler, and they should be able to do it for you.
